What a plonker how easy was that .....

I spent last night at home thinking of ways I could code the first selection to be forced with query of queries and javascript and all sorts. Its so good to have someone say why don't you just .....

So that when the the list is changed known issues (if there are any) are shown in a box below. The problem is that this doesn't work first time around. (becuse ther is no 'onChange'.

There's 3 solutions.

1) Simply put a "Please select a school...." as the first item of your select, so that the user triggers the onchange.

2) Put a bit of javascript at the bottom of the page that sets the first item in the select as the selected item and then submits the form, but this will mean that you get a kind of flash as the page loads twice.
   document.DropDown.selected_School.selectedIndex = 0;
   document.DropDown.submit();

3) If you don't have any form variables to get the known issues with, simply take the details from the first item in the query for the drop down and use that instead.
