A couple of people I know have used XAMPP in the past
(http://www.apachefriends.org/en/projects.html). I cant comment on its
greatness personally (maybe other can) as I always set these things up by hand
(the long winded way !) but it may be a starting point :¬)

Hello all.

I am about to embark on creating a Virtual Learning Environment using a product
called moodle.

I will be building a new server from scratch that has to be opensource for this
project.
This will involve the installation of RedHat Linux with Apache web server php
and My SQL.

Although this is nothing to do with coldfusion really at the moment it will be
linking into other coldfusion systems at a later date.

Now heres the crunch. I know more about applied quantum physics than I do Linux
and apache.
Has anyone set these or similar servers up in the past? - Can anyone point me
at some helpful online documentation?

Any help is much appreciated

Regards - Paul
