Thanks, I was actually using the 10g drivers which will not work with CF5. I
copied over the lbclntsh.so from another server running the 9i client and it
now works

Perhaps it's a similar problem as with MySQL, where the pashing hash
changed
and thus a newer driver was needed.
Try another oracle driver rather than the one that comes with CF.

        Hi everyone,
We have an old application that still runs on Cold Fusion 5 and uses
the
oracle 9i client on a solaris server, I recently rebuilt the server
and
installed oracle 10g client as we've upgraded our main oracle server
to 10g.
The oracle 10g client works ok on the solaris box as I can use
sqlplus to
connect to the oracle server but none of the datsources in CF5
connects.
I've checked all the permissions, modified the start script in the
coldfusion bin directory and it still doesn't work. Is anyone aware
of any
issues with CF5 and the 10g client?
        thanks
