>- see footer for list info -< Well, Like you may do I bypassed that completely and now use iText directly. I had nothing but trouble from CFX_PDF.
Note: cfx_pdf is actually only using iText underneath but its limited in some way - I am not sure how. I can certainly help with the iText stuff, I have a library of loads of things to do on a PDF using iText, N -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Duncan Cumming Sent: 08 December 2005 17:02 To: [email protected] Subject: [CF-Dev] cf_pdf_set_fields >- see footer for list info -< Has anyone ever succesfully used <cf_pdf_set_fields> in Easel2's CfxPDF? Seem to be having some problems with it. I can read a form field, but can't write to it. <cf_pdf_read_fields file="file1.pdf"> <cfoutput query="request.pdffieldinfo"> #request.pdffieldinfo.field#: #request.pdffieldinfo.value#<br> </cfoutput> This gives me a list of the form fields and their values, if any. So far ok. Supposedly I can then pass it a Query object consisting of 2 columns named Field and Value, which will then write those values to those fields. <cfset newfields = QueryNew("field, value")> <cfset temp = QueryAddRow(newfields, 1)> <cfset temp = QuerySetCell(newfields, "field", "field1")> <cfset temp = QuerySetCell(newfields, "value", "afdsf")> <cfset temp = QueryAddRow(newfields, 1)> <cfset temp = QuerySetCell(newfields, "field", "field2")> <cfset temp = QuerySetCell(newfields, "value", "ffff")> <cf_pdf_set_fields infile="file1.pdf" outfile="file2.pdf" fields="#newfields#"> This saves a new file, but without any noticable changes to the form values If I then use <cf_pdf_read_fields> to try and read the contents of that file, I get nothing. I'm about to give up and start again with iText instead, unless anyone has any tips.
