>- see footer for list info -< Okay I know it's got nothing to do with CF, but somebody here probably has an idea.
A mate of mine is running actinic on his Win2003 / IIS6 server, and providing a digital download (via actinic) which has a large filesize (approx 80Mb). When payment is taken, Actinic creates a time limited link to allow the user to download the file. The link is to a perl script with a query string, so presumably it works like cfcontent. Unfortunately it's timing out for users with slower connections. By slower, I mean slow "broadband" connections. I'm not sure how long it takes because I've not had a chance to go through the logfiles, but they get about 30Mb before it craps out. I've tested the download myself without error, so I can only assume that it's the Perl script that times out after a certain time. I guess this must be built in to stop runaway processes, which is great in principle, but no good if somebody's going to take 10 or 20 minutes to download a file. Question is, can that timeout be changed? If so, how? Any ideas? Cheers Taz _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- CFDeveloper Sponsors:- >- Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Forum provided by www.fusetalk.com -< >- DHTML Menus provided by www.APYCOM.com -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help -<
