hi,
in my opinion the best way to store a date in a db is to create a date object, by createdate(), create ODBCdate() and related functions, then you can use lsdateformat(mask) and lstimeformat(mask) to format and display retrivied dates..

Subject: [CF-Dev] Best way to format dates into an Access DB for UK formatdates

- see footer for list info -<
HI,

I'm trying to get dates into an access db so that they are stored as
"dd/mm/yy" format and are displayed on my pages as "dd/mm/yy". I'm setting
the locale as UK, using setLocale("UK") in my application.cfm page. Then I'm
setting the format of dates using the LSDateFormat() function when I'm
saving the date. What's the best way to display to store and retrieve dates
into access.

Stephen
