You could, but potentially you will have the same problem with 2006-03-03
As either could be the month or day. Unles su store it in the database in
that format.
I think you'll find that once CF finds an unambigious YYYY value leading the
date that it will always assume YYYY-MM-DD. It will be processed fine.
However - obviously - using a date object rather than a string is always
going to be the preferred option.
