Well that's good news.

The leading zero is just a formatting thing, I should think - eg: make
sure they're always four digits long.  What's the highest decimal number
you're using?  A four digit base-64 number will represent 16 million-odd
in decimal.

The reverse process is easy.  Each digit, right to left, should be
multiplied by 64^(position-1):

1234 (base 64) = 1 x (64^3) + 2 x (64^2) + 3 x (64^1) + 4 x (64^0)
