I've used Agent Ransack for a while now as well, but only for searching for
files (not searching for text within files). I know it can search for text
within files, I just prefer to do it all in the one program (Homesite). Agent
Ransack is a lot better than the Windows->search facility (which seems to be be
^%&*£ when trying to search network drives), but I found it's RegEx bulider to
be not-so-useful, as I have often constructed a RegEx using it's builder, which
has failed to find what it supposed to find, so have always had to tinker with
the RegEx it spits out to get it right. Probably just me though !

I know some really prefer to search for files within their editor, but
I
have blogged about a nifty alternative that I always use for searching
files. It's free, lightning fast, offers Reg support (and a regex
builder,
useful even if not searching files), and more. (Sorry, it's Windows
only.)

Exactly ! Also, one of the reasons one of the other guys here ditched
Dreamweaver was because he couldn't search a whole site for something.
Not having used Dreamweaver at all, or Eclipse very much (I have only
used
Eclipse a few times to see if the current version has what I want in
it), I
can't say myself whether or not you can do the equivalent of Homesite's
"Extended Find" and "Extended Replace" functions on a folder (and
include
sub-folders if you want). You can even use a RegEx in those functions
as
well, which is very handy. I suspect you can do the same (although
maybe not
with a RegEx ???) in the other programs, but have to setup a site, then
        fiddle around a bit ???
