..its even easier than that,  adding tortoiseSVN to your pc, tortoiseSVN can
can talk to Subversion,
avoiding all that command line stuff, means you only need rightclick
to add your folder/files to Subversion repository or
on a folder to update/commit etc...  ,

Seriously subversion is not complex, you need a webserver with apache
to set up SVN serve, then you can commit your stable code to this
server.

Then on your remote blue dragon boxes you have to install subversion
(no configuration required) then you can literally update your files
from the command line with something like

svn update d:\websites\online\mySite\

Now that is pretty simple, and certainly alot easier than loggin in
via FTP and then dynamically accessing what files have changed!
