>- see footer for list info -< How about this <cfset pagecount = 0> <cfdocument blah...> <cfdocumentItem type="footer"> <cfsavecontent variable="x">#cfdocument.totalpagecount#</cfsavecontent> <cfset pagecount = pagecount + x> </cfdocumentitem> </cfdocument>
-----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Gary Sent: 26 July 2006 19:44 To: Coldfusion Development Subject: [CF-Dev] Using cfdocument.totalpagecount as a variable >- see footer for list info -< I desperately need my code to be aware of how many PDF pages have been generated after a cfdocument tag. According to the CF docs cfdocument.totalpagecount is only available to output within cfdocumentItem tags. e.g. to display "page 1 of 5" in footers within the PDF. I've tried to force totalpagecount into a local or request variable so I can perform some logic on it. e.g. if there is more than 1 page then do XYZ. It's crazy that this information isn't made available to developers to use in their code. Does anyone have some sneaky ideas on how to capture it? I've tried this: <cfdocument blah...> <cfdocumentItem type="footer"> <cfset request.totalpagecount="#cfdocument.totalpagecount#"> </cfdocumentitem> </cfdocument> Which does not work. Dumping request.totalpagecount literally displays * {totalpagecount}* Gary. _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- CFDeveloper Sponsors:- >- Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Forum provided by www.fusetalk.com -< >- DHTML Menus provided by www.APYCOM.com -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help >-< _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- CFDeveloper Sponsors:- >- Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Forum provided by www.fusetalk.com -< >- DHTML Menus provided by www.APYCOM.com -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help -<
