>- see footer for list info -< No, sorry. That was monumentally annoying. I hear you saying it's more "accessible" (if you mean to the blind, etc.) but the cost to average people is just too high.
For its verification mechanism, it asked me "What's the title of latest post on Adactio". Well, a )what the hell is adactio (this is identified as being on Kent Brewster's blog) and b) how would I find it and c) if my commenters would have to open a new browser window to find an answer to even a well-written question, that just TOTALLY defeats not spammers but real humans (lacking the motivation to play along). The really sad thing is that there are commenters (who did play along) who have said how good it was. What you don't see is any reflection of the people (like me) who tried to comment and gave up. It will lead to a sad mistaken sense of confidence in the approach, I fear. Thanks for sharing, though. I will again point people to the blog entries I did on Friday which I mentioned here last week. Captchas can be made less annoying, but I really don't think this I a good example...at least in my opinion. :-) /charlie http://www.carehart.org/blog/ -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Damian Watson Sent: Thursday, August 24, 2006 12:50 PM To: Coldfusion Development Subject: [CF-Dev] Captchas >- see footer for list info -< Hi all, Of interest perhaps to anyone talking captchas recently, a more accessible method: http://kentbrewster.com/rss-captcha-prototype Cheers, d _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- CFDeveloper Sponsors:- >- cfdeveloper Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help >-< _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- CFDeveloper Sponsors:- >- cfdeveloper Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help -<
