Yes, it is. At least on Windows, I know. Setup an ODBC Text driver, and then
create a CF DSN that points to that with the ODBC Bridge.

Besides that, are you aware as well of the ability to use CFHTTP and the
special NAME attribute, which if you point it a text file (using a URL) will
read it in and create a query as named in the NAME attribute. See the CF
docs for more.

If you happen to have the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update magazine from
June, I did a tips column on the back page that discussed these and other
ways to read in a text file in CFML.

We used to (pre MX) be able to have a text dsn that would let us run queries
against CSV files.

Does anyone know if it's possible under the JDBC to duplicate this?

I like it for development design, quick and dirty temporary apps, or
testing.
