I have a SP in SQL 2005 Std that takes 12.5 seconds to run when invoked by CF. Exactly the same params used in SQL Studio return the results in 2 or 3 seconds. This is a huge difference and I can't understand why. Other SPs are about the same speed on both CF and Studio so I don't know what's happening during the extra 10s wait when CF has a crack.
We have a dev box where CF runs the same SP very quickly on the same version of CF and SQL as production. Running CF7.01 on Win2003 Std (x2 as this box is clustered) with SQL 2005 Std on another Win2003 server within the same LAN/Domain. I understand there are newer JDBC drivers but have avoided them because everything seems to work okay (apart from this oddity). Any ideas please?
