>- see footer for list info -< This can be achieved in one of two ways depending on your infrastructure
1. If you get a Layer 7 compatible load balancer You could have www.mysite.com/foo.asp being served by one server And www.mysite.com/foo.cfm being served by another. An IP address does point to a single point on the internet but this doesn't have to be a single server it can be a device in front of your server. 2. Another alternative would be to install the a reverse proxy module on your webserver e.g. apache and proxy Coldfusion requests off to your other server. For an example http://www.apachetutor.org/admin/reverseproxies Hope this helps Alex -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by Trusted Management Limited, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- CFDeveloper Sponsors:- >- cfdeveloper Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help -<
