The Driver used by CF 8 by default is the DataDirect Drivers and not
the MS SQL JDBC, As I said if the Default ones don't work then you
could try using the MS SQL JDBC One instead.

Awesome .. thats the sort of thing I was after .. in most cases ive
seen the 2005 connector generally work with 2008 but wasn't sure
about JDBC. We don't need to leverage any special 2008 functionality
atm, just normal sql operations.

I don't kow, but found this, that suggests that the same jdbc driver
as used
for SQL server 2005 will work for 2008, implying you could use that?

Hi all,
Does anyone know if Coldfusion 8 supports SQL Server 2008
currently ? I'm
looking at a system design and while I see no reason to not use
SQL2008 for
the rest of it I couldn't find much info on SQL 2008 support in CF8.
