Thanks, but perhaps I wasn't clear. That is the question I'm actually 
asking - I have a page with the logic required (which in itself has all 
sorts of includes etc.) but need to call that page from the webservice 
CFC on the site - for others to send info to and process it, receiving a 
fail/success as a result (from the cfc).

I agree that changing the whole site over to CFCs would be ideal and 
probably provide me with work to the end of the millenium..... but we 
don't have that luxury, although I may have to write some bits anew into 
a cfc - but that stinks as far as versioning is concerned, as the main 
cfm page will have to co-exist - and if the owner changes something.... 
you get the picture.
