Yes, tried that, but it kind of defeated the object of cached connections
really, so I wanted to get to the bottom of it.

I'm unaware of what FTP server it is as its a remote third party server, but
certainly it responds normally to other FTP clients and CF7 had absolutely
no trouble with it.
