If you do go the HTTP route, the two key things you will need to do is make sure you find/set any form fields appropriately (this may mean parsing the cfhttp.FileContent for values), and to check for and re-send the appropriate cookie data (to stay logged in between cfhttp requests). Once you've got those bits nicely wrapped up into functions, the rest should be pretty simple - just a matter of following the right URLs to get from login to data pages.
