>- see footer for list info -< Hi all,
I have a CF website (our bands) and it delivers some video's of us doing our thing. Having never really played around with video other than embedding a flash player I now want to investigate how I can get the quality and streaming performance up. I was looking at the Adobe offering this morning for a streaming server or maybe Helix. However will this really improve my situation? I have an old Compaq Proliant ML330 G3 twin processor server as my web server, MX7, and IIS. I am with BT Business which is supposed to give me 10meg broadband (usually makes about 3). I know this isn't really the kit for doing this kind of thing and trying to compete with what I can do with YouTube is a non starter. Is there anything out there for the small time amateur? Is is worth me bothering with such a small broadband connection? What are the possibilities? - Id really like to maintain the video uploads via the sites backend as everything links in the database. Maybe there are some API's or something I can use for other hosting providers with the right kit? Any suggestions welcome. Regards - Paul - Take a look at www.gunnrunner.co.uk and im sure you'll get the idea. _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- CFDeveloper Sponsors:- >- cfdeveloper Hosting provided by www.cfmxhosting.co.uk -< >- Lists hosted by www.Gradwell.com -< >- CFdeveloper is run by Russ Michaels, feel free to volunteer your help -<
