Go and look for windows help file makers, they are rather good.

Or if you want a web based one, it is easy if u use a framework that
includes pages based on a URL variables. E.g fusebox
Index.cfm?action=whatever

The help button link will simply link to the help file relating to the
current action.

Subject: [ cf-dev ] Building help files for a Web app

Hi,

Could anyone give any pointers on building a help section for a Web app?

We would need all the usual functions that you would find in standard
help sections for apps e.g. Index, contents, search

I would imagine that there are a number of pre-built solutions around
rather than build from scratch.

We have started looking at HTML Help ActiveX control (HHCtrl.ocx) in IE
- could anyone recommend this?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

regards,

Steve
