As to the value of FB3, I find it really useful whether I'm in charge of a big project or just doing something little on my own. I think, though, that its value rises as the size and complexity of the job and the team you're working with rises. People sometimes tell me, "I don't need FB because I don't do big complex jobs where I'm tead lead." I usually ask them, "Would you LIKE to do that kind of job where you're team lead? Because if so, the time to acquire those skills is BEFORE you actually need to use them."
