i cant put it in the body tag as normal as the body tag is inside a static
include file,
then again i guess i could pass it as a coldfusion variable to the include
file and then check if the attribute exists then write the onload handler
using coldfusion

The body isn't one of the document object's properties, so no, I don't
think so. You could use document.write instead if you're wanting to do it
programatically, but having two body tags in your document would cause
problems for sure. Why can't you put it in the body tag like normal?
