On the same sort of subject is it a good idea to use euro signs on a
webpage? I have currencies in a database and the relevant symbol for the
currency is drawn from the DB and displayed on the page. I got warnings
from an HTMl validator about the euro sign so I changed this and the
pound sign to the &... equivalents in the DB. Now when I use these in an
e-mail they won't display. It would be a lot simpler If I could just use
all html e-mails instead of having to deal with the symbols separately
in html and e-mail.

Hi

Is it safe to send HTML e-mails to everyone who comes to my site? I
tried sending a normal e-mail and £ appears as £ instead of
.
