oops, sorry I need to do it in Javascript, I forgot to say!

basically I am doing this freaking survey popup thing which I need to popup
on a page unLoad. This is all AOK except that it will popup even when I
click on an internal link, not just when I exit a page - I cant have this.

I have a way which will allow me to check an onClick variable, but there are
literally millions of links in this system and I cant change them all to use
this (as some are 100% dynamic).

I need to check for the existence of a variable within the clicked link, in
my example its foo. If foo exists, then do not show popup - simply goto
page, if it doesnt exist you should exit the page and provide the survey.

the fact that you have index.cfm?foo=foobar declares foo that variable in
the called page ie url.foo will always exist
