Done that Already. Definitely Memo. I have used the like solution for
now.

I thought it may be something to do with distinct - possibly treating
them all as text fields but

<cfquery name="Records" datasource="tracker">
        select  Refurl
        from    tracker
        where   1=1

        and             searchengine is null
        and             pageurl is not null
</cfquery>

gives me the same, max length of 255 chars.

check the database itself and find out if it is text and not memo,
better to
be completely sure about this.
