You can get cfexecute to run things that aren't command line programs,
but then again, that's because most programs support command line
execution anyhow:

e.g. iexplore.exe "http://www.macromedia.com";

The problem you will run into is that the CF Server is logging on to the
operating system with a different user session than the one you are
using to work with the desktop, so the results of the <cfexecute> call
will not appear on the desktop. You can get around this by calling the
'at' command with <cfexecute> and getting it to execute the program you
want to see on the desktop.
