Compliancy, schpliancy. Surely .NET has put an end to compiancy.
Microsoft were very clever is designing software that could read badly written code. Since people tended to use IE to test, they found their sites working. However, surprise, surprise, some very strict browsers used to screw up (NN). Guess who wins.
