I appreciate that. The point I was hoping to make was that each developer's view of what's "right" seems to be determined either by how something worked when they learned it or the behaviour they require at the time. I mean, if it *is* going to loop through the keys in any particular order, wouldn't it be reasonable to expect them to be output in the order in which you populated them?
