Make sure you get him to get Flash MX Designer`s Actionscript Reference anyway. IMHO Reality book demands more than a beginners knowledge of Flash though its great to see evolution of Flash project from start to finish. I`m making my way through the above ( Dynamic text is chapter 12 if you can borrow it) which is good at working through key concepts and code techniques and not without fun. When I finish that (whenever I get the chance) I`ll hopefully make a better go of the Reality CF which at present my own stupidity finds daunting as it shows up my glaring lack of knowledge in places.
