It didn't but I've found the problem. It was a problem with the encoding. I
have changed it now and � works fine. Thanks for the help.

Sorry for the off topic post, hopefully this is a quickie.

How do I get a pound sign to appear in a Javascript Confirm or alert
dialogue. I have tried just � but I get a capital J. I have also tried
&pound; but then I get the appearing in the text. \� also gives me J.
