"The ColdFusion MX Updater replaces service packs, and will be the
primary vehicle for delivering bug fixes, security patches, and hot
fixes to ColdFusion users. The Updater will be periodically enhanced to
include the cumulative collection of all tested fixes available for
ColdFusion MX."

The updater contains bug fixes, like a service pack, and it's
cumulative, like a service pack. So is the updater just another name for
a service pack?
