The MBSA is not a good guide as to whats installed as it detects files which
have earlier version #'s and flags them as missing or not installed... when
you run the app, look at more details of what is missing etc and you will
see that the actual file you have installed has an earlier number which is
OK as you have the latest file installed.

If you have fully patched and you have ran the MSBA then you should be 100%
OK, as long as you introspect into each versoin of the DLL via the GUI to
ensure you are running the correct versions.

Subject: [ cf-dev ] OT: Windows Update

Not an answer to your WebDav Q, Neil, but slightly related...

I ran Windows Update on a W2K Server box yesterday and installed all
Critical Updates. Then, MS Baseline Security Analyzer said that there
were 9 Updates or Hotfixes missing, one of which was the WebDav patch.

Does anyone know why Windows Update doesn't install those 9
hotfixes/patches, or, as MSBSA says, might they be installed but just
not detectable?

Thanks.
