Title bar: Web "/CFIDE" Directory Location Description: Please select the location of your ColdFusion MX "/CFIDE" directory. This location is typically in your active web server root document directory. Label: Where is the ColdFusion MX "/CFIDE" directory located? Pre-populated: "C:\CFusionMX\wwwroot\CFIDE"
The title bar, description, label and value with which the text box is pre-populated all suggest that you need to specify the location of the "/CFIDE" folder itself. On a development machine where I'd installed CFMX using the standalone web server, whilst installing the updater I didn't alter the pre-populated value and the installation went fine. However, if you're running IIS, click the Choose button and specify "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CFIDE", you'll find the updater creates a second CFIDE folder within the existing CFIDE folder, containing another /administrator/ folder and some others. This happened on our production server whilst installing Updater 2. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, subsequently specifying "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot" and then installation worked fine. Has anyone else seen this behaviour? And, if so, do you also think it's inconsistent? -- Aidan Whitehall <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Macromedia ColdFusion Developer Fairbanks Environmental Ltd +44 (0)1695 51775 ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned for all viruses by Star Internet.
