Quoting Matt liotta,

"With each nested cfinput tag Cfform has a performance profile that is
exponential in nature i.e. with each additional cfinput tag; cfform takes
almost twice as much time to process."

Subject: [ cf-dev ] Problems with CFFORM performance with MX

  Hi Group,

Has anyone had any performance problems with CFFORM/CFTREE under MX?

I have a query that returns approx 1,500 names and runs in about 350ms.
It then shows these names in a tree, grouped by the first letter. Ie. click
on "A" to show all the surnames beginning with "A". This has worked fine
for the last three years.

Since we've upgraded to MX, the query still takes 350ms to run, but the
page takes 55 seconds (according to the debug info). Does anyone have any
idea why? We've not changed the Java applet, but this doesn't count within
the debug time anyway.

  Thanks
