There is a distinct lack of best practise document for cfcs.

There is a lot of confusion regard:

*) the pagecontext bug in cfcs; what is it and how do you avoid it.
*)      cfcs in persistent scope
*) persisting cfcs (db file etc.)
*)      scope issues (this etc..)
*)      using init() type
*)      handing errors
*)      performance
*)      CFC design  (patterns etc...)

Now a lot of these things have been discussed on the cfcdev list, but its
not easy to trawl though 100's of messages to see the current best practice.

I for one would like to see someone dispell the murky world of CFCs for us,
if there's anyone in the country who understands them enough....

I think there's a lot of confusion and fear about them from the everyday
coldfusion ground troops that only the special forces could quell.

There's not a lot of talk on this mailing list about CFCs and their innards.
