Subject: [ cf-dev ] MVC issues

Just been taking a look at mach-ii recently, and am very interested in it!

The thing is this, how do people see MVC fitting with what is effectively a
client-server environment? Currently, mach-ii contains listeners, which,
for MVC, are basically used to update views, when the model (data) changes.

Now since most of the time, websites are just static (ie HTML on a page) how
relevant is a listener? When the view is basically a "snapshot" and not a
current view on the data (such as is the case with a website) then surely
the "listener" becomes irrelevant in MVC.

Just trying to build an MVC idea into a CF5 application (for a client that
has a lot of legacy CF5 apps and no wish to upgrade!) and it's quite
intriguing trying to build MVC in procedural language!
