I just wanted to chime in and give this response a SOLID second nomination. The mail capabilities in MX (particularly MX 6.1) are "f"ing great. To loosly quote Lucas, "the only load issues with CFMAIL in MX are those of the mail server, not ColdFusion". if sending e-mail is a prority, I'd upgrade.
