That is indeed how you get DW to recognise extra file extensions.....its an
XML file.   You may be able to simply add a new file type in Windows
Explorer and associate it with DW..what ever is easier..

Tools > Folder Options > File Types...

I have a file with .dbp extension which I want to open up in DWMX 2004
but it does not recognize the extension. I have found a Dreamweaver MX
technote which involves fumbling around in some XML files. Before I go
that route does anyone know if there is a simpler way to achieve this in
DWMX 2004?
