I was able to move a CF5 mini-cms application over to bluedragon 3.1
(free) without any major problems .. just connecting to a mySQL DB etc
etc. ..

I've also built a small network monitor and some other tiny things I
would have to have used PHP/Perl to do because the company wouldn't want
to fork out 1000 quid for just an intranet application !

The reason why I first started looking at it was that I had a bunch of
small apps that would take me no time to write in CF but would turn into
a bit of a mission to do them in Perl/PHP (and I wasn't gonna touch ASP
with a barge-pole) but the cost of the server was a no-no !

What was a bit annoying was that I had got used to CFFUNCTION/CFARGUMENT
for all my functions and had to convert a few of them back .. but then
this should be solved in BD6.1 !

Stephen for those of us who have absolutely no experience with Blue
Dragon and only a hazy grasp of what it can do (I realise this
might only be me!) can you give us a couple of examples how you
used it and the type of applications it has worked well.

Thanks

Gordon
