Hi Russ I like what you're doing.
However, it's easier to check for new mails (leave mail programming open in background), than it is to Open Web Browser, Wait, Find URL (using faves, or whatever), Click, Wait, think about what time you're going home, Scroll around looking for updated items, click on a link, wait, think why did I come here again?, read something, etc. You get the idea. However, if as items are added we are e-mailed, then we can read the e-mail (hopefully reply too), and/or go to the forum to read the whole thread (which is nice for me cause when I get to work all my cf-dev e-mails were downloaded at home). I do hope we can get the forums active though as it's a more useful resource for information all in one place, and easier than keeping all your list emails :-) But judging from the state of the CFUG forums, people just don't like using them much. > -----Original Message----- > From: Lucas Sherwood [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 05 January 2004 12:58 > To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' > Subject: RE: [ cf-dev ] New forums up > > > Hey guys, > Are these linked to this mailing list or do we need to read > both to get the low down?? > > L. > > -----Original Message----- > From: Peter Harrison [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 05 January 2004 6:27 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [ cf-dev ] New forums up > > > Was that meant to be: > http://cfmxhosting.co.uk/fusetalk/forum/index.cfm?forumID=1 > > regards > Peter Harrison > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://www.timelessguru.com/ > http://www.timeless.co.zw/ > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Snake Hollywood" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Monday, January 05, 2004 12:30 AM > Subject: [ cf-dev ] New forums up > > > Hi folks, > > Just put up some new cfdeveloper forums finally.
