The build the damned product round the corner from me up here in Newcastle (fancy calling a music hall and music education centre - "The Sage"!)...


I think, depending on the version, you're either looking at MS SQL Server or Sage's own proprietary database and some versions come with a web interface of some kind...

Sorry that doesn't help much... You need to find out from the client what version they are using.
