Have just made a couple of calls for you, but it sounds like each piece
of Sage
Software has its own unique database, so you would have to find out
exactly which
Line of software and which version you are talking about,

However I was told that the Accountants Production Software (not line 50
etc) uses
A borland database engine if that means anything to you.

Was also told that many of the sage lines are being directed to Dotnet
with regards 
Databases.  

Don't know if this means anything to you mate.  If you can find out
exactly what line
And version of sage we talking about I might be able to get you some
more information
Or point you in the right direction.
