As an example, if I use the page validator in CFStudio5, it tells me that <td> doesn't have a 'background' attribute; if I process the same page in CSE Lite 3.5 (not the Pro version, and NOT integrated within CFStudio), no such warning/error is given (though it flags all of the CFML tags it doesn't understand). Within the HTML 4.01 spec, I can't find the attribute for 'background' within <td>. So which one is right? Similar discrepancies occur with other tags, too. What do the experts here use for page validation (other than the W3C validator)? As I'm in the position of having to critique other peoples' code, I'd like to be sure of my facts before making any comments!
