Russ,

The 3 messages are as follows :

(1 row(s) affected) - it has updated the sysobjects table to indicate you
are enabling full text searching.

(0 row(s) affected) - It didn't create any new catalogs, its failing on the
DBCC CALLFULLTEXT command.

(1 row(s) affected) - it has updated the sysobjecs table again.

Do you get any other error messages? I also gather that fulltext searching
components have been installed?

N

Subject: [ cf-dev ] FW: CFGURU: SQL Server: enabling full-text catalogs

Anyone have any idea why this wouldn't work.

usually to enable full-text on a database I use

EXEC sp_fulltext_database 'enable'

but it doesn't appear to be doing anything.

query analyser come sback with this if it means anything.
