Hi guys.

In another life, working with industrial strength databases, I have taken
for granted that a DBA can roll a DB back to a stated date and time without
external resources (no backups or logs needed except the current log). This
is achieved by the DB software reapplying the 'before' information from the
transaction log, working backwards from 'now' to the target timestamp.
Obviously the DB is not available for normal use during this process.

I had hoped to do this with a SQL Server installation, but I can find no
instructions. Is it in fact implemented?

TIA
Duncan Fenton
