Morning...

I've just been given the dubious pleasure (?!?!) of spending a day next
week showing has a customer's existing database can be neatly integrated
into a CMS.

Their current DB is MSSQL - I'm not a Microsoft person (haven't touched
ASP/MSSQL for, oooh about 4 years), but if I remember correctly I can
use DTS as a scheduled task on MSSQL to FTP the appropriate information
from the DB server (inside the firewall) to the webserver (outside),
which then parses the info and updates the site.

The other option is to open up a non-standard port through the firewall,
which I can connect to from the webserver with a user with limited
permissions etc to say run a SP to get back the appropriate information.

Any advice on which optino to choose? Considering this is only a
pilot-type thing to show it can be done...

Tim.
