I'm actually just using a web form and excel as the datasource. Is it
possible to run excel on the client's browser and perform an datasource
update from there?

I'm assuming you're viewing the spreadsheet via IE?

If so my initial thoughts would be to hardcode a javascript refresh
after running the query. Would that not do the trick? hth Mark

Not sure if anyone's had experience with this on this list but I thought
it would be worth a try.

I can update an excel sheet through a web form using an ODBC connection,
but none of the dynamic cells in the excel sheet are updated when a new
query is made. Is there any way to get excel to update itself without
opening and closing the excel file?

Longshot, I know...

Cheers,
