if its any help - we have a DB of people subscribing to a crime newsletter
from the Met
every once in while the adminstrator's inbox gets larger with return
receipts from invalid emails and he forwards the list of emails and I go
through and delete them from DB
not sure how efficient in terms of time but is pretty straight forward and
works on the whole
