Have
you installed all the update sand patches. There are some fixes for CPU and
memory usage.

If i restart CF it starts quite low at around 50,000K but as I speak it is up to 647,000K and is growing continuously. This is by far the most memory intensive service running with the next highest being 39,976K (ntConsoleJava.exe)When I have logged on when there are problems cfserver.exe is up to about 900,000K.Is this normal behaviour to see this continual memory usage increase?
